Situation before
Tarkett sought to increase the share of renewable energy at its manufacturing facility in Bačka Palanka while avoiding the complexity and capital investment associated with developing its own energy infrastructure.
The objective was to implement a large-scale rooftop solar solution that would reduce reliance on grid electricity, strengthen energy resilience and support the company's long-term sustainability ambitions.
Resalta Solution
Resalta developed and delivered one of Serbia's largest industrial rooftop solar PV projects under its Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) / ESCO model.
As investor and long-term energy partner, Resalta assumed responsibility for the complete project lifecycle—from development and financing to engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, permitting, grid connection and long-term operation and maintenance.
Implemented under Serbia's prosumer model, the installation enables Tarkett to maximise self-consumption of renewable electricity while exporting surplus energy to the distribution grid in accordance with local regulations.
